A Success Story a Successful Partnership
Kosovo's population during the last 13 years has benefited by receiving more than 1 million gifts for Christmas through Samaritan's Purse. The organization has contributed to the treatment of more than 160 children from Kosovo with cardiac complications by providing operations in renowned hospitals in the U.S. and Canada.
In order to see the progress made in the country, Roy Graham came for a 4-day visit to Kosovo. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the international humanitarian organization "Samaritan's Purse" and also the son of the director of this organization and the grandson of the greatest evangelist of modern times, Billy Graham.
In a meeting with church leaders in Kosovo who had come to thank this guest from America, Graham said: "We have no intention of ceasing our cooperation with any church that engages in evangelism." He thanked all those who directly or indirectly have been part of this program.
Leonora Kurti, the national coordinator of the distribution of Christmas gifts, said in her opening speech that in this year alone Kosovo received over 60,000 gifts.
Also present at the event was the President of KPEC, Driton Krasniqi. President Krasniqi considered the cooperation between Samaritan's Purse and the church of Kosovo as a success story of a successful partnership. Further, in his address, Pastor Krasniqi, in thanking Mr. Graham and local churches of Kosovo, said: "For each smile brought to the faces of children being shown the love of Jesus Christ, it was worth all the work done." On behalf of the Council of KPEC he presented to the representative of Samaritan's Purse a certificate of gratitude.
A reception was held to close out the event.
