On International Peace Day, Protestant believers are awarded a prize by Kosova Government

 21 September of each year marks the World Day of Peace. Even in Kosova, as in many other countries of the world, this day is marked with numerous activities.

In 2012 the Government of the Republic of Kosova, in cooperation with the Italian NGO “Ponte della Solidarita Kosovo”, built in Prishtina, a monument dedicated to all governmental and non-governmental organizations that have come out in support of Kosova’s population during its dark times.

The ceremony of inauguration of the monument was attended by representatives of various international organizations, ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions and of the Government of the Republic of Kosova.

The Government of the Republic of Kosova awarded many Certificates of Appreciation which are given out by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Mr. Memli Krasniqi. With such prize was awarded the Kosova Protestant Evangelical Church (KPEC).

From the Protestant Evangelical Community present at the ceremony were President Pastor Driton Krasniqi, Secretary Brian Gibson and Pastor Artur Krasniqi.

KPEC President Driton Krasniqi upon receipt of the award said that this Acknowledgment by the Government is a summary of many acknowledgments that various institutions of the country have awarded our KPEC member churches year after year.

Kosova Protestant Evangelical community, through their churches and organizations, have been among the largest contributors of humanitarian aid to the population of Kosova during and after the war. Numerous organizations have given their unmatched contribution also in areas of interfaith dialogue in Kosova.
